What Is Biomass ?
Biomass is biological material derived from living, or recently living organisms. In the energy field, it most often refers to plants or plant-based materials. As an energy source, biomass can either be used directly via combustion to produce heat, or indirectly after converting it to various forms of biofuel.
Wood remains the largest biomass energy source to date. For example, forest residues (such as dead trees, branches, and tree stumps), yard clippings, and wood chips. In the second sense, biomass includes plant or animal matter that can be converted into fibers or other industrial chemicals. Industrial biomass can be grown from numerous types of plants, including miscanthus, switchgrass, hemp, corn, poplar, willow, sorghum, sugarcane, bamboo, and a variety of tree species

Sustainability of Biomass Energy
Application
Dingli biomass pellet is a new type of pellet fuel with outstanding commercial and environmental benefits compared to traditional fuel. It has been widely applied for
- Co-firing in pulverized coal and fluidized bed energy plants
- Biomass energy plants
- Combined heat and power plants
- Industrial-scale public and private heating
Features
- Large heat supply with average heat value from 3900 kcal/kg to 4800 kcal/kg.
- High purity. Dingli biomass pellet products contains no heat-consuming impurities such as gangue and gravel. The carbon content can reach 80%.
- Lower sulfur and phosphorus contents. The combustion products do not corrode furnaces and burners, which largely prolongs the life time of equipment.
- Less environmental pollution. Little sulfur dioxide and phosphorus pentoxide is contained in the exhaust gas and the combustion process does not cause pollution to the environment.
- Easy to clean. The pellet combustion is sufficient and the residues yield is low , which largely reduce the cost of storage and operation.
- Multiple commercial value. The collected combustion residues can be made into high-quality potash fertilizer, which can bring extra benefits for our customers.
